SALISBURY, N.C. — The Averett University women's tennis program dropped a road match against Methodist University on Wednesday afternoon at the Gene Clayton Tennis Center.
Freshman
Paula Ryhsen won her No. 4 singles matchup after dropping the first set 5-7, and winning the second set 6-1 forcing a third set where Ryhsen won 11-9.
At No. 5 singles, sophomore
Alejandra Garcia earned a victory winning 6-3, 3-6, and 10-8 in the deciding set.
Methodist took all three doubles matches.
The Cougars are back in action when they host Randolph College Feb. 27 at 1 p.m.
