ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — The Averett University men's soccer team fell 2-0 to N.C. Wesleyan College on the road Saturday in USA South Conference play.
N.C. Wesleyan (3-1-0, 3-1-0 USA South) managed to take a 1-0 lead before the end of the opening half on Saturday and added its second score 10 minutes into the beginning of the second half to hang on for a 2-0 conference victory.
Averett (3-2, 2-2 USA South) was limited to just four shot attempts on the afternoon, but managed to land all four on frame for shot on goal attempts.

Erik Blick,
Johnny Kummander and
Kellen Fees combined for three of the four attempts, while freshman
Sebastian Weijdegaard added the remaining shot attempt.
The Battling Bishops finished the contest with a 12-4 shot advantage, but only a slight 6-4 shot on goal edge, making the most of their six shot on goals attempts with two goals.
Averett hosts Pfeiffer University on Thursday at 6 p.m. on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium.
