Averett at a Glance: The Cougars are off to the best start in program history and are coming off a 12-5 win over Randolph College. Averett started last year 0-6 before having the season cut short. This is the first year head coach Anthony Mackin will have four-year seniors as this is the fourth year of the programs history. Junior Marques Fleming was named USA South defensive player of the week while freshman Liam Taylor was named Rookie of the Week.
Brevard at a Glance: The Tornados began its campaign with a loss on the road against Oglethorpe University 10-3. Averett won its matchup with Oglethorpe in a close one 7-6.
