LYNCHBURG, Va. — Averett University women's soccer rattled off three second half goals to earn a 3-1 victory over Randolph College Wednesday night at Wildcat Stadium.
Randolph (3-2, 0-0 ODAC) a soon every year opponent for the Cougars when they move to the Old Dominion Athletic Conference, jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the 15th minute of play.  
Averett (2-1-1, 0-0 USA South) saw senior 
Thania Hernandez find the equalizer in the 52nd minute of the second half off an assist from freshman 
Celia de Diego. Just six minutes after earning the assist on the equalizing goal, de Diego found the back of the net giving the Cougars the lead. 
Sophmore 
Jenna Franklin closed the door on the Wildcats scoring her first goal of the year in the 78th minute.
Senior goalkeeper Morgan Dills earned five saves on the night.
Averett is back in action Saturday at 1 p.m. when it hosts Bob Jones University.
