DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University women's soccer team dropped a non-conference match against Bob Jones University 4-1 Saturday afternoon on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium.

Averett (2-2-1) saw its only goal come from freshman Celia de Diego in the 68th minute, giving her seven goals on the year. The Cougars only trailed 1-0 at halftime.

Bob Jones (6-1-0) was actually out shot by the Cougars 21-14 for the game but put four more shots on goal then Averett.

Averett is back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 4:30 p.m. when it travels to Sweet Briar College.
