GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Averett University women's basketball program dropped its second USA South Conference game of the season with a 87-52 loss against Greensboro College on Saturday afternoon inside Hanes Gymnasium.Â
Averett (4-9, 4-2 USA South) was outscored 23-10 in the first quarter by Greensboro (12-1, 5-1 USA South), which also held to Cougars to just 10 points again in the fourth quarter of play.Â
The Cougars were led by senior
Courtney Hunt, who tallied 15 points hitting three 3-pointers.Â
Averett is back in action when it hosts N.C. Wesleyan College on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 6 p.m.Â
