DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University women's basketball program fell 92-53 against Greensboro College on Saturday afternoon inside the Grant Center.
Averett (4-13, 4-6 USA South) was outscored 27-14 in the first quarter by Greensboro (18-1, 11-1 USA South), which also held to Cougars to just eight points in the fourth quarter of play.
The Cougars were led by senior
Courtney Hunt, who tallied 13 points. Fellow senior
Genesis Weiters has now tied the all-time school records in blocks for the Cougars.
Averett is back in action when it hosts Southern Virginia University on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 6 p.m.
