AMHURST, Va. – The Averett University women's soccer team took down Sweet Briar on the road 4-1 on Old Dominion Athletic Conference play.

Averett (5-6-2, 3-3-1 ODAC) scored in the second minute of play from freshman
Isobel Evans with the assist from junior
Jenna Franklin.
Averett would go up 2-0 over Sweet Briar (1-10, 1-6 ODAC) from sophomore
Celia de Diego's goal assisted by junior
Remy Vigouroux.
Less than one minute later Franklin would find the back of the net from freshman
Erika Lindstrom and de Diego to take the 3-0 lead into half time.
In the 47th minute of play the Cougars would add an insurance goal off the foot of de Diego.
The Vixens would net their lone goal of the night in the 62 nd minute of play to bring the final game score to 4-1.
Averett women's soccer is back in action on Saturday when it hosts Washington and Lee on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium at 1 p.m.
