DANVILLE, Va. - The Averett University women's soccer team fell 4-0 to Washington and Lee University, who is receiving national poll votes, at home on Saturday.

Clarice Peters prior to the match, Peters will be graduating a year early with a triple major in psychology.
Washington and Lee (12-0-4, 7-0-1 ODAC) netted their first goal of the game in the fifth minute of play. The Generals would add two more goals in the first half to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.
The Generals would add an insurance goal in the 47th minute of play to take a 4-0 lead.

Alyson Kinkopf recorded nine saves in goal for the Cougars.
Averett is back in action on Wednesday when they host Ferrum College at 7 p.m. for the Coougars last home match of the year.
