Averett at a Glance: The Cougars are tied for third following Monday's opening round at Guilford College's O'Briant-Jensen Memorial hosted at The Cardinal by Pete Dye. The Cougars shot a collective 9-over-par over the opening 18 holes. Averett, which held the overall lead for a bulk of the day, had three golfers finish the first round in the top 16 of the field of 102 individuals.
