Averett places Wilmington College to open action on Thursday. The Cougars are coming off a 65-46 road loss to then-No. 23/now-No. 20 University of Mary Washington on Dec. 14 ... Averett's defense around the rim has been notable this season with the Cougars totaling 40 blocks as a team, which ranks among the top ODAC teams as of Dec. 20. Junior Jason Sellars II ranks among the ODAC leaders in the blocks category with 19 swats this season at 1.8 blocks per game. ...
