DANVILLE, Va. – The Averett University women's basketball team fell to Bridgewater College in the Grant Center 94-59 on Saturday in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play.
Bridgewater (6-1, 2-0 ODAC) opened the game with a 16-0 run that set the tone for the rest of the game. Averett (2-6, 0-4 ODAC) was able to go on an 8-0 run early in the second that quickly prompted a Bridgewater timeout

Talia Prosper led the offensive efforts with 19 points for the Cougars with a team-high four steals. Freshman
Skylar Jones had a career-high 10 points while freshman
Taylor Ray also had 10 points. Junior
Jihnez Hutchinson led the rebounding efforts with seven rebounds, while freshman
Brianna Sams and Ray both had six. Sophomore Olivia Gardner lead Averett in blocks with two.
Averett is back in action on Wednesday, Dec. 10 when it travels to conference foe Roanoke College at 7 p.m.
