Averett at a Glance: Averett men's basketball hosts conference foe Methodist University on Saturday for Senior Day and the Cougars' regular season finale. Averett clinched the USA South Conference East Division regular season title with its 83-81 last-second win at Pfeiffer University on Tuesday, but fell 80-74 at home to Southern Virginia University on Thursday. Prior to the loss to Southern Virginia, the Cougars had won 11 consecutive conference games and had won 12 of their last 13 games overall. The Cougars will honor lone senior KeShawn Lewis prior to the game.
