DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University women's lacrosse team blew past Randolph College 24-5 on Wednesday afternoon on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium.

Averett (2-1) saw graduate student
Elizabeth Peasley score within the first 10 seconds of the ball game to get things rolling for the Cougars. Peasley tallied six goals along with one assist for the game.
Randolph (1-2) was led by Sophia Cirone who scored four of the five Wildcat goals.

Averett scored seven goals in the first quarter and totaled eight in the second to earn a 15-4 halftime advantage.

Freshman
Faith Bowlin also scored six goals and two assists while junior
Adriana Perez and freshman
Rachel Rios added three goals each.

Seniors,
Hannah Mae Ayers and Courtney Delone both scored their first goals on the year while Delone also added three assists.

Averett returns to action on Saturday when it begins USA South play on the road at Piedmont University at 12 p.m.
