DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University women's tennis program earned a 9-0 conference win over Salem College on Saturday afternoon at the Averett Tennis Courts.
Averett rolled winning every singles match in straight sets. At No. 1 singles, freshman
Maxence Lippens won 6-0, 6-1. Senior
Inka Zeilstra earned a 6-2, 6-0 victories at No. 2 singles while junior
Alejandra Garcia and freshman
Keira Gunning won 6-0, 6-0.
Averett also dominated doubles taking every match in dominating fashion. The Cougars earned wins by forfiet at No. 3 doubles along with No. 5 and 6 singles.
The Cougars are back in action when they tomorrow when they travel to Johnson C. Smith at 2 p.m.
