Women's tennis defeated by Division II Barton

Box Score WILSON, N.C. — The Averett University women's tennis program saw its five match win streak come to an end against Division II Barton College 7-0 on Sunday afternoon. 

Averett (7-4) competed at Division II regulations where doubles only counted as one point. Averett's lone win came in the No. 3 doubles slot from junior Alejandra Garcia and sophomore Paula Ryhsen.

Barton (7-10) won all the singles matches in straight sets. 

The Cougars are back in action Tuesday when they host Mary Baldwin at 3 p.m.
