DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University men's lacrosse program fell 24-7 against Pfeiffer University on Saturday afternoon on N.E. Lefko Field in the 2022 season finale.
Averett (4-11, 1-8 USA South)
jumped out to an early 2-0 after senior Mike Michaud scored not even a minute into the game. The Cougars then converted on a MAN-UP chance when freshman Brayton Powers found the back of the net of an Michaud assist.
Pfeiffer (11-3, 7-2 USA South)
ended the first quarter leading 10-4 and led at the half 18-6.
Senior
Parker Corbett tallied a hat trick along with Michaud for the Cougars.
Averett ended the season earning their first conference win in program history in the athletics final year in the USA South before heading to the ODAC next season.
