FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — The Averett University men's lacrosse program fell short 13-8 against Methodist University on Saturday Afternoon at Monarch Stadium.
Averett (3-9, 0-5 USA South) struggled to get things rolling as Methodist (7-6, 2-3 USA South) ended the first quarter of play with a 3-1 advantage.
The Cougars scored three goals in the second matching the Monarchs but ended up scoreless in the third quarter and headed to the fourth trailing 9-4.
Sophomore
Connor Taff led the way for the Cougars with a hat trick while senior
Parker Corbett added two goals.
The Cougars are back in action April 16 when they travel to Brevard College at 12 p.m.
