ASHLAND, Va.- The Averett University women's basketball team fell on the road 73-60 to Randolph-Macon College on Saturday.
At halftime Averett (4-16, 2-11 ODAC) found itself trailing Randolph-Macon (14-5, 11-2 ODAC) by 15 points. The Cougars would cut the Yellow Jackets lead to 10 early in the second half but Randolph-Macon would go on an eight-point scoring run to extend their lead back out. The Cougars went on on an eight-point scoring run cutting into the Yellow Jackets lead and brining Averett within 13 points to end the game.

Elisa Harris netted a career-high 20 points to go along with two rebounds, this marks her ninth time scoring double-digits. Junior
Talia Prosper scored 13 points while freshman
Rayanna Evans pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.
Averett is back in action when it hosts Guilford on Wednesday at 6 p.mm for National Women and Girls in Sports Day. Averett is hosting a youth girls sports clinic from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. prior to the game.
