FERRUM, Va.- Averett University women's basketball fell short at Ferrum College 61-57 on Wednesday night at Old Dominion Athletic Conference play.
Averett (1-7, 0-2 ODAC) led Ferrum (5-1, 3-0 ODAC) 21-19 after the second quarter, fueled by a 17-point second quarter. Averett went into the fourth quarter leading by six. The Panthers used a 22 point fourth quarter to comeback and win 61-57.

Talia Prosper led Averett's offense with eight points while sophomore
Elisa Harris had seven. Freshman
Jenkens Ervin had a career and team-high 13 rebounds in the game. As a team the Cougars pulled down 27 rebounds while Ferrum brought down 38.
Averett is back in action on Saturday when it hosts Shenandoah University at 4:30 p.m.
