ASHLAND, Va. - Averett University women's basketball fell on the road to Randolph-Macon College 58-42 on Saturday evening.
After the first two quarters Averett (3-9, 2-4 ODAC) trailed Randolph-Macon (7-3, 4-0 ODAC) 22-19. The Yellow Jacket's offense erupted for 24 points in the third to extend their lead while the Cougars put up 11 points. In the fourth quarter, each team posted 12 points.
Senior
Talia Prosper led Averett's scoring with eight points and three rebounds. Redshirt-freshman Amore Krikland had a second best seven points. Senior
Natija Pate had a team-high nine rebounds to go along with six points. Freshman
Emma Jones had a career-high of six points in the loss.
Averett is back in action on Dec. 28 when it travels to Meredith College.
