DANVILLE, Va. - Averett University women's basketball team fell to Ferrum College 77-61 at home on Saturday in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play.
Averett ( 4-19, 2-14 ODAC) would narrow down Ferrum's (11-13, 7-10 ODAC) to nine in the fourth quarter from freshman
Brianna Sams corner three-pointer, the Panther's would use and 18-2 scoring run to pull back ahead for the remainder of the game.
Freshmen
Elisa Harris scored a team-high 17 points while
Rayanna Evans scored 14 points with three three-pointers. Junior
Natija Pate chipped in 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds.Â
As a team, Averett out rebounded Ferrum 32-31 in the matchup.
Averett is back in action when it travels to Virginia Wesleyan University at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
