WINCHESTER, Va. - Averett University men's lacrosse fell to Shenandoah University on the road in Old Dominion Athletic Conference on Saturday by a score of 20-5.
Shenandoah's (4-5, 1-0 ODAC) high-powered offense took control of the game quickly by scoring seven unanswered goals in the first quarter before sophomore
Jay Etheridge found the back of the net with 3:05 left in the first for Averett (2-5, 0-2 ODAC). The Hornets would continue to grow their lead throughout the game for a final score of 20-5.

Cooper Case and Etheridge each had a goal. Case also chipped in an assist. Freshman
Emmett Wood scooped a team-high four ground balls Freshman

Averertt is back in action next when it travels to Hampden-Sydney College next Friday at at 7 p.m.
