DANVILLE, Va. - The Averett University men's lacrosse fell to Methodist 12-3 on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium pn Saturday.
Averett (1-2, 0-1 ODAC) took the quick lead over Methodist (2-3, 0-0 ODAC) with a goal from junior
Connor Taff to go up 1-0.
Methodist quickly answered, scoring nine unanswered goals to take a 9-2 lead into halftime. Methodist would score just three goals in the second half while the Cougars scored one to bring the final game score to 12-3.
Taff led the scoring with two goals while Jay Ethridge scored one. Between the pipes, freshman
Cameron Prutzman had 20 saves and 10 ground balls.
