Women's tennis falls to DII Shaw

DANVILLE, Va. – Averett University women's tennis dropped its nonconference match with DII Shaw University at home on Monday by a score of 8-1.

Averett (9-2, 5-1 ODAC) saw its lone win over Shaw (8-3) come at #5 singles with Amelie Brune's 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 win over Shaw's Chetna Kumari.

Averett is back in action when it travels to former USA South Conference foe Pfeiffer University at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
