SALEM, Va.- Averett University tennis rolled past Roanoke College 8-1 on the road Sunday in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play.
Averett (8-1, 4-1 ODAC) swept all three of the doubles points from Roanoke (5-7, 2-4 ODAC).
At No.1 doubles sophomore

Paula Ryhsen paired up taking down Halle Ferstrum and Julia Bassett 8-3. Freshman
Brenda Poulakidas and junior
Daniela Poulakidas teammed up to beat Victoria Rios and Lia Streibich 8-5 at No. 2 doubles. Freshmen duo
Elisa Battermann and
Amelie Brune took down Maddie Morrell and Emma Johnson 8-2.
Freshman
Franka Keil won in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 over Morrell at No. 6. Batterman defeated Zane Maiden 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5.
Daniela Poulakidas swept Rios 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 4 slot.
Brenda Poulakidas took down Bassett 6-2, 6-1.
Gunning picked up the win at No. 1 singles defeating Ferstrum 6-0, 6-4.
Averett is back in action when it travels to Bridgewater College on April 5 at 2:30 p.m.
