LEXINGTON, Va. - Regionally-ranked Averett University men's tennis fell to No. 25 Washington and Lee University in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference championship 5-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Washington and Lee (17-5) took all three doubles points over Averett (14-5). The Cougars saw its closest match of the afternoon come from #2 doubles team of
Kazuki Fukushima and
Prabjeet Chandhok who fell to the Generals Eli Hirshberg and Will Kistler 8-7 (7-5) in tiebreak.
This concludes Averett's season as the Cougars finish #2 overall in the ODAC standings, #12 regionally and with a 14-5 overall record.
