ROANOKE, Va. - Averett University women's volleyball added another win to their conference record on Tuesday, defeating Hollins University 3-0.
Averett (11-12, 5-3 ODAC) allowed little competition while holding strong leads, taking all three sets by scores of 25-19, 25-14 and 26-24. Averett has beaten Hollins (2-19, 0-9 ODAC) 13 times in a row since 1987.

Emma Nash led the was a standout on both Cougars' offense and defense, recording 13 of the team's 36 total kills, three blocks and four service aces. Junior
Brenda Light had a team-best 11 assists and sophomore
Kadence Woodlief had eight digs. Fifth-year libero
Erin Gray finished with seven digs and four service aces, while fellow fifth-year
Destiny McIntosh added three blocks to the Cougars' defense and five kills.
Averett hits the road on Friday when it travels to Ashland, Virginia, to continue conference play against Randolph-Macon College at 7 p.m.
