Dance earns recognition for performances at ID Dance regional in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Averett University's dance team competed at ID Dance Competition's Innerlight Tour regional competition in Charlotte on Sunday. 

Averett performed two routines — "Like a Boy" and "Dancing Dolls" — and both were awarded in adjudicated scores a platinum iconic, which is the second highest adjudication award below a Ultra Iconic, which is a perfect score. In their respective categories, "Like a boy" was awarded the "Highest Scoring Award" and "Dancing Dolls" was fourth overall.
