SALEM, Va. - Averett University men's lacrosse suffered a conference-opening loss at Roanoke Wednesday by a score of 29-0.
Averett (0-4) had nine ground balls in the outing. Sophomore goalie
Cameron Prutzman had 14 saves in 45 minutes inside the cage for the Cougars while sophomore goalie
Andrew Guynn made five saves in 15 minutes of work.
Defensively Averett had two caused turnovers one each coming from sophomore
Casey Peterson and freshman
Ethan Zack.
Sophomore
Emmett Wood had a team-high two shots both being on goal. Freshman
Tigran Ceesay and sophomore
Cameron Shadduck also registered one shot one goal each.
Averett is back in action when it hosts Warren Wilson College at 1 p.m. Saturday.
