DANVILLE, Va. - Averett University men's volleyball fell to No. 3 Southern Virginia University and Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday.
Averett (0-5) fell 3-0 in the opening match against No. 3 Southern Virginia (8-0) with set scores of 25-5, 25-13 and 25-15.

Jordan Tyler and senior
Daniel Cancro had three kills each in the match while sophomore
Nicholas Breen had one kill, Cancro had a team-high five digs. Freshman
Noah Kaneshiro-Pate had a team-high five assists.
In the Cougars' second match of the day against Virginia Wesleyan (2-7) freshman
Finn Oakley had three kills while Cancro had two kills. Kaneshiro-Pate had four assists while sophomore
Diego Giffuni handed out three assists before falling 25-11, 25-10, 25-15.
Averett is back in action on Friday at Warren Wilson College at 6 p.m.
