Men's lacrosse drops ODAC road trip to Randolph-Macon

ASHLAND, VA. — Averett University men's lacrosse dropped its Old Dominion Athletic Conference match-up with Randolph-Macon College, 26-1.

Randolph-Macon (9-2, 3-2 ODAC) pounced on Averett (2-10, 0-3 ODAC) early and applied unrelenting pressure throughout. The Yellow Jackets carried a 15-0 lead into the halftime break.

Averett scored its only goal in the early moments of the third quarter. With 13:48 on the clock, junior Dawson Hobbs struck the back of the net to put the Cougars on the board. Sophomore Cameron Prutzman logged 11 saves on the day.

Averett is back on the road to face another ODAC challenger, Bridgewater College, on Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m.
