The Series: In their 12 matcups in series history, Bridgewater remains unblemished versus Averett at 12-0 overall. Last time the two squads met, the Eagles defeated the Cougars 64-43 in Bridgewater, Virginia last February. 
Averett at a Glance: Averett University women's basketball finished up its long trip away from Danville, facing off against Shenandoah University in a mid-week conference contest. The Hornets broke away early from the Cougars, ending as winners by the 101-47 margin on Wednesday afternoon. For the fourth straight contest, Giggetts led the Cougars in scoring with 15 points, and in steals with four. America went back-to-back games in double figures, with 12 points. Brianna Sams made noise in the paint, corralling a team-high seven rebounds. As a team, Averett made its most threes this season, with eight. Both teams tied in the offensive rebounding margin with 12 apiece. 
Bridgewater at a Glance: The Bridgewater College women's basketball team picked up a 58-37 victory over Randolph on Wednesday. Alsberry led all scorers with 22 points in the win. Garcia ended just shy of a double-double with eight points and 11 rebounds while Corcoran added 10 points in the victory. Renee Clines led Randolph with 11 points and was the only WildCat in double figures. Simone Brown grabbed 16 rebounds for Randolph. BC dominated the painted area outscoring the WildCats 36-16 as they executed well against the 2-3 zone. The Eagles also limited Randolph to 23.8% from the floor on the night.
