Lynchburg, Va. — Averett University women's volleyball lost 3-1 at Randolph College on Tuesday during Old Dominion Athletic Conference play.
Averett (5-16, 2-9 ODAC) and Randolph (8-14, 2-6 ODAC) each took a set for their own before the WildCats took the final two to close out the match and secure a conference win with scores of 25-22, 12-25, 25-19 and 25-21.
Junior Tahani Villines, a stand out on both offense and defense the last three matches, led the Cougars with 17 kills and 21 digs.
Junior Allie Wilkerson contributed 10 kills and seniors Rachel Green and Nina Moore had eight a piece.
Senior Dayton Moore recorded 25 assists while fellow setter sophomore Megan Litman was not far behind with a season-high 17 assists.
Sophomore libero Kyleigh Rains, junior Kadence Woodlief and Dayton Moore had 18, 15 and 13 digs respectively.
Averett visits Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday for two non-conference matches against Meredith College and Greensboro College beginning at 2 p.m.
