DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University women's volleyball clinched their first conference win at home on Tuesday during their annual pink out game against Hollins University.
The Cougars (3-13, 1-6 ODAC) took all three sets against Hollins (7-12, 0-7 ODAC) with scores of 25-19, 25-23 and 25-16. This marks Averett's 14th consecutive win against Hollins since 1987.
Juniors Allie Wilkerson and Sydney Mounce earned 10 and 11 kills respectively for the Cougars.
Junior Kadence Woodlief had 14 digs, while senior Dayton Moore recorded 17 of the team's 33 total assists and 12 digs. Junior Ella Jabaley also contributed 11 digs for the defense.
The Cougars return to the Grant Center on Saturday when they host Warren Wilson College for Senior Day at 1 p.m.
