The Series:Dating back to the 2013-14 season, Averett is 15-7 all-time against William Peace. The former USA South Athletic Conference foes met twice a year when in the same conference, but have continued to battle once a year following Averett's move to the ODAC. The Cougars won last year 60-48 in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Nov. 20, 2024.

Averett has won three in a row after holding off Apprentice School 62-61 on Saturday. ... With its win over Apprentice School on Nov. 22, Averett notched its 500th win as a program dating back to 1976-77.
