The Series: In all 16 matchups between the cross-state rivals, Guilford has won all 16, dating back to 1994. The Cougars and Quakers have already met once this season, as Guilford bested Averett in Danville last November, 99-68.
Averett at a Glance: Despite Emma Jones' career-high 17 points and five three-pointers, Averett's first quarter momentum fell short as visitors Shenandoah University rode its own highs to an 83-59 win in Danville last Saturday. DaiShaundria Giggetts had 15 points and a game-high six steals, making her tally 75 on the season. 
Guilford at a Glance: Guilford's thrilling fourth quarter at Bridgewater College ran short, as Riley Corcoran sunk the game-winning layup to sink the Quakers last Saturday, 61-60. Anna Giannopoulou scored a game-high 17 points, and teammates Zoe Bayer and Courtney McMillan also had double-digit scoring nights with 12 and 10, respectively. Julianna Walters led in swipes with four.
