The Series: Lynchburg holds serve in the all-time series 21-5 versus Averett, includ ing a four-game win streak dating back to 2021. Last time the two played, the Hornets won 90-58 over the Cougars in Danville in February of 2024.
Averett at a Glance: Averett was unable to make it two wins on the bounce versus Eastern Mennonite on Saturday. Hot in the first quarter, the visitors battled back and controlled the contest from then on, never losing its lead until game's end, defeating the Cougars, 71-53. DaiShaundria Giggetts led all scorers with 22 points and six steals. 
Lynchburg at a Glance: Lynchburg fell 82-52 at Guilford on Saturday afternoon. After a testy first period with many lead changes, Guilford controlled the pace for the rest of the contest. Bree Spainhour led all Hornets with 13 points, while Olivia Harris grabbed eight boards.
