Averett's Lopez named All-ODAC for men's volleyball

FOREST, Va. — Averett University men's volleyball senior Anibal Lopez was named to the 2025 All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference Third Team at libero, the league announced Friday.
 
Lopez, a native of Vigo, Spain, is the first player in the program's brief history to earn All-ODAC honors. The Cougars, in their second season as a program, were a part of the inaugural ODAC men's volleyball season this spring. Lopez let the ODAC in digs average at 3.46 per set and ranked third in the nation in Division III. He had several notable performances, including a 21-dig effort in his final match of the season.
