DANVILLE, Va. – Averett University men's lacrosse concluded its spring homestand with a 28-0 loss to No. 10 Washington and Lee on Friday afternoon.
Before the contest kicked off, seniors
Dawson Hobbs,
Ty Pearson, and
Brayton Powers were honored.
Scoring just under a minute in, ranked Washington and Lee (12-3, 8-0 ODAC) asserted control of the game, leading in every quarter to remain undefeated in the conference, securing its eighth ODAC victory of the spring.
Pearson had a productive outing on the backend for Averett (4-11, 1-7 ODAC), tallying a game-high three ground balls.
Giovanni D'Amico and
Connor Boyd both accrued caused turnovers. Cougar netminder
Robbie Isenhour made 19 saves.
Averett finishes its season on the road to round out 2025. The Cougars are back in action next Wednesday, April 23, with a trip to Virginia Wesleyan University. Start time is set for 3 p.m.
