O'Reilly was one of 10 individuals selected to participate in the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships, which will be held May 20-23 at Midvale Country Club in Penfield, New York ... O'Reilly was one of 10 individuals from teams not on a school within the 43-team field who made the tournament. O'Reilly is the first Cougar to make the field as an individual since Craig Hosie placed 10th overall in the 2004 NCAA Division III National Championships. ... The Tournament at a Glance: O'Reilly is one of 225 total participants competing in this year's field, which is comprised of 34 automatic qualifying teams, nine at-large teams and 10 individuals. The first two rounds will be played simultaneously between Midvale Country Club and Cobblestone Creek Country Club in nearby Victor, New York. After 36 holes, the field will be trimmed to the top 18 teams and the top six individuals not on one of the top 18 teams for the final 36 holes.
Averett at the NCAA Championships: Averett has a history of success at the NCAA National Championships. The Cougars won the 2003 national title with Janne Mommo winning the individual national championship. The Cougars have also made NCAA National Championships appearances as a team in 2001, 2002 and 2023 with individual appearances in 2000 (Mommo) and 2004 (Hosie). Former Cougar Max Pettersson placed fourth overall in 2023 when Averett last made the field as a team.
