1. Who was your role model to get into coaching?

Colton: I'd say my dad. He taught me a lot about the sport. Growing up, he was my coach since I was little up through high school and all that. So he was the one who taught me the most about the sport and where it can take people. And then afterwards, I've been pretty fortunate to have some great coaches throughout my career. The other main one I would say is (Averett men's soccer head coach) Phil Wilson. I worked as his assistant for a few years and has helped me a lot with the transition into my role now.

2. What is one food you would never eat pregame?

Colton: Anything heavy. When I was playing I never really ate a lot on game days. I always ate pretty light. And even now I can't imagine eating anything heavy like pizza or anything fried. It would have to be something super light.

3. Do you have any pets?

Colton: I do. I have a little six month old Dachshund, Enzo. He's a menace.

4. If you weren't coaching, what job would you have?

Colton: Growing up, I wanted to be a marine biologist but now I'd probably say something like an EMT or a firefighter. I just think it'd be a exciting career path still helping out the community.

5. Which Mario Kart character do you use?

Colton: Dry Bones every single time.

6. Do you believe in aliens?

Colton: You've got to. I mean, there's so much out there that we don't know about, so yeah, definitely.

7. You get to add one new rule to your sport. What would it be?

Colton: Clock's counting down for college. Change that to the professional style where it counts up and then you add stoppage time at the end.

8. Do you have any secret talents?

Colton: Not really. I can draw a little bit, but not to the point where I would consider it a talent.  The only other thing I can think of, fly tying, like for fly fishing.

9. What emoji best describes your coaching style?

Colton: The scale emoji, because I feel like I bring a balance of different styles and have a decent gauge on understanding there's a time and place for each one.

10. Which fellow coach would you choose to be stranded on a deserted island with and why?

Colton: Phil Wilson, I've known him a while and worked with him for quite a bit. I feel like we get along pretty great and it would be a good time.
