DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University men's wrestling head coach
Sam Braswell announced the addition of former Cougar
Thomas Baldwin '25 as an assistant coach with the program.
Baldwin was a part of the Cougars' team from 2020-25. In 2023-24, he notched 14 wins as a junior after totaling 13 wins as a sophomore in 2021-22. However, he missed his final season due to injury. He finished his career with 34 wins over three seasons of competing.
During his seasons where he wasn't actively wrestling, Baldwin served as a student assistant coach. He coached five champions at the 2025 Builder Invitational and had multiple placers at the 2025 Southeast Futures Tournament.
A native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Baldwin graduated in May 2025 with a degree in business administration with a concentration in management science from Averett. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in business administration with a concentration in leadership from Averett.Â
