VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Averett University men's volleyball suffered their third conference loss to Virginia Wesleyan University on the road Thursday night.
The Cougars (3-6, 0-3 ODAC) fell to the Marlins (13-4, 4-2 ODAC) with scores of 25-16, 25-20 and 25-15.
Senior
Nicholas Breen and sophomore
Yerai Collazo led Averett with six kills a piece, while freshman setter
Luke Brown had four. Brown also added 11 assists for the Cougars' offense.
On the defense, freshman
Aiden Williams added a solo block and freshman libero
Julian Hernandez recorded eight digs.
Averett travels to Lynchburg, Virginia on Saturday for a tri-match, one being a conference match versus hosts Randolph Colleg. and a non-conference matchup against Wilson College beginning at 2 p.m.
