FOREST, Va. – Averett University women's basketball sophomore
DaiShaundria Giggetts and her all-star caliber season earned her a spot on the 2025-26 ODAC All-Conference Third Team, the league announced Thursday.
Giggetts, a guard/forward from Danville, Virginia, was selected to the third team for her all-around elite play on the court. Giggetts averaged 13.9 points, ninth-best in the ODAC, and her rebounds per game at 6.0 was 13th. Like last season where she set records, Giggetts performed best in the turnover category, once again amongst the best in the conference in steals. Following the regular season, she finished second outright in overall steals with 63, while her 2.6 swipes per contest ranked tied-second. She was also a rock-solid free-throw shooter, finishing 12th in the ODAC at a .730 percentage, while her 84 free throws made were sixth.
Giggetts led Averett in all of points, rebounds, and steals per game in 2025-26, and scored a season-high 27 points versus Lynchburg on Feb. 14. She also set a new career-high in rebounds in a single game with 13 at Eastern Mennonite on Jan. 17.
Giggetts becomes the program's first all-conference selection since 2021-22 with Camryn Lunsford, and first since Averett joined the ODAC.
