FOREST, Va. – Averett University women's tennis' doubles tandem in senior Elisa Battermann and junior Dilara Sultanova were named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference doubles team of the week, announced on Monday from the conference offices.

Battermann, who hails from Zeist, the Netherlands; and Sultanova, who hails from Izmir, Turkey, went undefeated across three dual matches last week. The two first took down Grace Lorenz and Allie Murrell from No. 15 Washington and Lee University, 6-3. Over the weekend, Battermann and Sultanova bested Virginia Wesleyan University's Jette Dammeier and Mikisha Thomas, 6-1, and the University of Lynchburg's Isadora Lima and Kayla Kosiorek, 7-6 (4). 

As a duo, the two are 5-1 this season.

This is the Cougars' fifth ODAC honor in the calendar year, and third doubles team award in 2025-26.
