HARRISONBURG, Va. — Averett University men's volleyball took a 3-0 conference loss against Eastern Mennonite University on the road Wednesday.
The Cougars (5-6, 0-9 ODAC) fell to the Royals (10-12, 5-5 ODAC) by scores of 25-20, 25-7 and 25-21.
Sophomores
Yerai Collazo and
Liam Audrain each recorded five kills for Averett, while freshman
Luke Brown had 17 assists.
On the defense, senior
Nicholas Breen and junior
Dominick Jenkins had a solo block a piece. Brown added seven digs, Audrain and freshman
Julian Hernandez had five a piece.
The Cougars are back home on Saturday when they host Virginia Wesleyan University for a conference match at noon.
