WINSTON SALEM, N.C. – No. 61 Averett University women's tennis got its 10th straight win of 2025-26 by sweeping Salem College on the road, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon.
Averett (12-2) got through doubles with one dropped game through the three lineups. All-star doubles duo, and two-time ODAC doubles of the week honorees in senior Elisa Battermann and junior Dilara Sultanova won 6-1 against Charlize Green and La'Kasia Williams.
The Cougars' depth shined in singles. Sophomore Sunna Maass defeated Salem's (4-11) Adley Keim in three sets. Senior Harshri Asher, at the second slot, defeated Green with a double bagel for win number 15.
Juniors Ana Herrera and Ella Boddington also won their respective matches, 6-0, 6-0 to cap off the afternoon win.
Averett's away trip for matches continue at Division-II Belmont Abbey College on Tuesday, Apr. 14. Start time is set for 1 p.m.
