Chase Myers and sophomore
Benjamin Afzelius earned major all-ODAC awards, per the conference offices on Tuesday afternoon following the conclusion of the ODAC championships. Myers was named the ODAC Rookie of the Year and an all-ODAC first team selection, while Afzelius earned third team honors.Â
Myers, hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, became the second straight first-team selection for the program, following
Killian O'Reilly 25' and his laurel last spring. Additionally, his Rookie of the Year award was the Cougars' first since Max Pettersson in 2023.Â
He enjoyed a quality start to his collegiate golfing career, as he recorded four top-10 finishes. One of those came following the last round at the ODAC championship that concluded today, where Myers tied for eighth. In just his second tournament, Myers won the Shenandoah Fall Invite on Sept. 29, 2025, with a staggering six-under score. He was ranked as high as 46th in the nation per Clippd. In 24 rounds played across the season, Myers' scoring average came out to 73.5, and averaged a score of two-over.
Afzelius, hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden, recorded his second straight all-conference laurel following a second-name honor last spring. In 2025-26, Afzelius had four top-15 finishes, with his best being 3rd at the Shenandoah Fall Invite on Sept. 29, 2025. His scoring average in 24 total rounds was 74.9, with a cumulative score of three-over-par.
Since joining the ODAC, men's golf has now accrued eight all-conference selections, with four straight seasons of two honorees.Â
