LEXINGTON, Va. – Averett University men's lacrosse was dealt a 28-0 loss at No. 16 Washington and Lee University on Wednesday night.
Washington and Lee (10-5, 7-1 ODAC) got on the board quick in the first quarter, and proceeded to stay in front for the remainder of the contest. Averett (0-12, 0-6 ODAC) managed eight shots on the night, and 19 total ground balls. The Cougars also were particularly successful in clears, 18-26.

Zac Coleman tied for the ground ball lead on the visitors' side with three each, and junior
Giovanni D'Amico had two caused turnovers.
In the loss, D'Amico broke the program record for caused turnovers in a Cougar uniform with 60, and counting.
Averett returns back home to Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium for its Senior Day game versus Shenandoah University on Saturday, Apr. 11. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
